As a class representative, write a speech about ‘The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’ in 120 words.
Good Morning, honorable guests, respected teachers and my dear friends. As a class representative I, have come before you all to talk about ‘The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’.
Friends, education is the most important national activity. It is the backbone of a country’s progress. It helps for the development of the nation. Do you know? the Union Cabinet approved the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 after 34 years which was launched in 1986.
According to NEP, the 10+2 structure of school curricular structure will be replaced by a 5+3+3+4 curricular structure. First 5 years means foundation stage in which 3 years of preprimary and std. first and second come, where there will be no books and exams. Second 3 years means std. 3, 4 & 5 where students can take math, language, science and art. The third -3 years means std. 6, 7 & 8 where students will learn computer coding and designing mobile applications.
Now listen friends, I am giving you information about our age group. That is about the last 4 years in which std. 9, 10, 11 & 12 will be included. Now there will be no streams like art, commerce and science. Any student can take any subject. Exams will be in two semesters (सत्र; छमाही). The first half course will be in first semester and after 6 months second semester on the remaining course. Which is very beneficial for the students, they would not have to study the whole syllabus. The examinations will be objective and descriptive.
Friends, here the policy has given importance to the mother tongue. I think this policy will build a new powerful India.

Good Morning, honourable chief guest, respected teachers and my dear friends. As a class representative I have come before you to talk about Blood Donation.
Friends, Blood donation is the greatest of all donations. One can say it is a life donation! Friends, we are human being and we live in society. It is our duty and responsibility to serve this society. And blood donation is the simple way to serve the society.
Friends, today, our college has arranged a Blood Donation camp and as a class representative, I appeal you to donate blood. Why a person requires blood? It has various reasons. It may be in an illness or also in an accident. We see many patients die due to the shortage of blood in the hospitals. If we donate blood, we can save their lives.
Let me clarify all misunderstanding about blood donation. Many people think that we become weak because of blood donation, but it is not a truth. Blood donation does not affect our health. On the other hand, it is quite natural process. One person can donate the blood twice or thrice in a year. Hence my friends come forward and donate your blood without fear.
Let us show that we are not only academically ahead but also socially responsible students. Let us make this event a grand successful and make our life meaningful! by donating blood.

Good Morning, honourable Principal Sir, Respected teachers and my dear friends, today, as a class representative, I have come before you to express my views about INDIA OF MY DREAMS.
Friends, India is a land of diverse cultures, traditions, and languages. India has a great potential to become a global leader in future. Friends, my dream India will be free from corruption, poverty, discrimination. cities of my India will be clean and green. Being an Indian, I wish to make my country richer, happier and healthier as well as an ideal in the world.
In my dream India, unity in diversity will not be just a slogan but a way of life where every citizen will be treated with respect and equality. There will be friendly relations with the neighbors. The India of my dream will follow the policy of truth and non-violence.
In my dream India, Education will be given due importance. Students will be devoted to their studies. They will be knowledgeable and skillful and get jobs of their choices. The birth of a girl child will be celebrated in my India.
Let us work together to turn this dream into a reality.

Friends, Lord Buddha said, “To keep the body in good health is our duty, otherwise we cannot keep our mind strong and healthy”.
Friends, there is nothing more crucial than health for any human being. When our health is not at its best, we are unable to eat, to talk nicely with anyone or even sleep properly.
Friends, our elders have said that health is wealth. To maintain good health, we need to take care of sanitation (स्वच्छता) around us. We must eat healthy and complete diet including vegetables, milk, egg etc. We can improve our physical fitness by walking and exercising daily in the morning and evening. We can maintain our mental fitness by reading books as well as maintaining good relations with our relatives, friends and colleagues.
Friend, our well-being is our most precious asset, so I request you to stay healthy and fit and enjoy healthy life.”.

Good Morning, honourable Principal sir, respected teachers and my dear friends, Today, on this special occasion of “Teachers’ Day,” we came together to express our deep gratitude and admiration for our teachers who have given a shape to our lives. As your class representative, I feel honored to stand here to express my gratitude (आभार) to our teachers.
Friends, on September 5, we celebrate Teachers Day, every year on the birth anniversary of our former President, Doctor Radhakrishnan, who was not only a political figure but also a good teacher.
Friends, “A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the path of knowledge and wisdom for us. He not only teaches a subject but also creates values, inspiration and clear thinking to make us a responsible citizen.

Good Morning, honourable Principal sir, respected teachers and my dear friends, Today, 15 October, we have gathered here to celebrate “World Students’ Day,” in honour of our former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birthday. As a class representative, I am here to share my views on the World Students’ Day.
Friends, why is this day significant? It’s because it’s about students like us who have the power to change the world. Friends, can we overcome challenges in learning? Absolutely! Dr. Kalam’s life story inspires us how to overcome obstacles in learning. You know, facing all the problems, he rose from poor family to become not only India’s Missile Man but also our president.
Friends, Dr. Kalam felt that students are the future of the country. He once said, “Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts and thoughts result in action.” We can turn our dreams into reality. how can we serve India in various ways? Good Morning, honourable Principal sir, Respected teachers and my dear friends, today, as a class representative, I am here to express my views on an importance of courtesy in our lives. (शिष्टाचार; विनम्रता).
Friends, what is a courtesy? let us imagine a situation when you board a bus, very tired and you get a place to sit. You are very happy, but in the next stop, a lady boards the bus with a baby in her arms. What will you do? You get up and offer the seat to the lady. This is a courtesy.
You may get a place to sit in the next stop, but your decision to consider the need of the lady is more important that gives you a great of satisfaction. Friends, using polite words like please and thank you is also courtesy. When you pass this courtesy to others, it becomes a circle. We have seen it in our lesson, “On saying please.”
Friends, I strongly believe that we can ignore unpleasant situation with patience ( संयम). Keeping one cool is the only way to be happy. Let’s remember that courtesy isn’t a sign of weakness; It creates a culture of respect in our society. That needs courage.
The great thinker, Roosevelt truly said, “Courtesy is as much a symbol of a gentleman as courage.” So friends, be polite and live happy and peaceful life.

“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise.” These words of Benjamin Franklin are really true. Early rising leads to better performance and greater success, because the early riser can do a large amount of work before other men get out of bed.
Friends, In morning, the mind is fresh and there are hardly any distractions ( विघ्न). As such, the work done at this time is generally well done. Friends, the early riser finds time to take some exercise when the fresh morning breeze is blowing and this exercise supplies him with a fund of energy until the evening.
So friends, for the healthy life, one needs to maintain a proper schedule of going to bed and rising from the bed, on time. You should not use the gadgets, like mobile, laptop etc. for an hour before going to bed. Early morning is the best time to study and gain knowledge. So friends, be early riser and be healthy, wealthy and wise.

Various aspects of science have made our daily life easy and we following modern lifestyle.
Friends, on the other hand, a country’s economic growth also depends on the development of science and technology. India is constantly developing in the field of science and technology. The Indian Space Research Organization has its own successfully launched Chandrayan, making India the fourth country among all other countries in the world to do so. Now we can launch satellites for other countries and become economically strong.
Friends, With the development of science and technology, we have got the benefits in the fields of medical, education, computer, communication, agriculture and defense. We can develop some deadly weapons to face the situation like Rassia and Ukraine or recent Israel and Gaza. Today nuclear energy has become a real threat to the world. So friends, it has both uses. But we should use these science and technology responsibly to create a better future for all.
