Virtual Message- learn in simple way

 Key factors 

Heading: Write the heading as ‘MESSAGE’ in the center at the top.

(leave one line).

Date: On the left-hand side of the page, write the date. (November 14th, 2024). 

Time: Under the date write the time.

(leave one line).

Addressee: After writing the time, write the addressee’s name. (Name of the person whom the message is sent/ Receiver).

Body: Write here in short sentences, all the essential information within 50 words. Do not use lengthy/ long sentences; Use short one.

(leave one line).

Addresser/ sender: At the end on the left side of the message, write the sender’s name. 

Make box to the message.

Marking scheme.

1] Heading, Date and time  - 1 mark.

2] Name of the person to whom the message is directed  - ½ mark.

3] Name of the writer  - ½ mark.

4] Content and language  - 2 marks.

5] Don't exceed the word limit by 2 or 3 words, (½ mark is deducted).

This is the news that I wanted to give Sourajit. Will you do that for me? Also tell him that I will let him know my new cell phone number as soon as I get one.

Amrita: I’ll do that. Bye and all the best.

     Amrita had to leave for office. So she wrote a note for Sourajit. Draft her message in not more than 50 words.

6] Read the following conversation between Aashna and Mr. Singh.

Aashna: Hello, may I speak to Ranajit, please?

Mr. Singh: Ranajit is getting ready for school. May I know who is speaking?

Aashna: My name is Aashna. I am Ranajit’s classmate.

Mr. Singh: Hello, Aashna. I am Ranajit’s father. Is there any message?

Aashna: Yes. Please ask him to bring his biology notebook to school today. I was absent from school due to illness. I would like to see the notes which our biology teacher gave to the class during my absence.

Mr. Singh: I will definitely do that.

Since, Mr. Singh had to go for his morning walk he left a message for Ranajit. Draft that message in 50 words.

7] Rajat comes home from school and finds the door locked.

Since he has a duplicate key he enters and finds a note from his mother kept on the table. In it, she explains that she had to rush to the hospital with Mrs. Manohar, their neighbor, who had met with an accident. She has also written that he should have the rice and curry kept on the dining table for lunch. He could heat the food in the microwave oven if he wanted to, but he should be very careful while handling the switch.

Draft the message which Rajat’s mother left for him.

Please note that August Kranti Express that leaves the Mumbai Railway Station at 6:00 pm, will carry all the passengers to their destination. The affected passengers are requested not to buy new tickets. The ticket for the Rajdhani Express will be valid in the August Kranti. We wish you a safe journey.

Mrs. Sarkar: I will give him your message as soon as he returns.

Rakesh:        Thank you.

Dr. Mahale: I am Dr. Vaishali Mahale calling from Krishna Diagnostic Centre. I would like to speak to Mrs. Sunita.

Radha: She is not at home right now.

Dr. Mahale: Could you please tell her that I have seen all her test reports. They do not show any serious problems and if there would be no improvement, we might take some more tests. I advise her to continue the same set of medicines for a week and I have fixed her appointment with the cardiologist for 2 o’clock at the Criticare  Hospital. She must reach there on time with all her reports.

Radha: Thank you, Doctor. I will convey her.

Rajan : Hello, Mr. Patil. He is not at home. Do you have a message for him?

Mr. Patil: Yes. Please inform him that tomorrow there will be an urgent meeting with the Collector at 12 am. I received this message now. So please ask him to be present at 12 am at the Collector office.

Rajan: Okay, Uncle. I will tell Dad once he comes back.

20] Koyal called up to Mr. Grover, a furniture shop owner. Since he was not available, his assistant, Vidhi answered. The following is a conversation between Koyal and Vidhi. Koyal: Hello, is that Grand Furniture?

Vidhi: Yes. Koyal: Could I speak to Mr. Grover?

Koyal: When will he be back?

Koyal: Yes. Could you tell him that he has to deliver the furniture ordered by me, for my new house only on the 10th February and not on 8th February. Ask him to keep it ready by 9:00 am on the 10th February. I will be sending a pick up van and so she does not have to arrange for the same.
