Tips for Report Writing
A report of some event/function held in your college should contain:-
1] Name and Nature of the event held.
2] Occasion/purpose of the event.
3] Date, time & place where the event held.
4] Chief Guest of the function
5] Inauguration
6] Chief Guest’s message / speech
7] Comprehensive details of the event
8] The end of the report: Vote of thanks
9] A report should be written in past tense.
10] The heading should be very clear and factual.
11] The introduction of the report should be mentioned in the beginning.

 Annual Day function is the most important event for all the students. On 23rd November, Our M. K. Gandhi Junior College, organized a grand annual day function. The programme started sharp at 9.00 a.m.

  Mr. Pankaj Ashiya, the collector of the district was the chief guest who lighted the lamp and inaugurated the function. He was given a floral welcome by our principal. Then our Principal, Mrs. Deshmukh, discussed the academic achievements of the college as well as its spots, cultural, and social activities in the annual report of the college.

 The chief guest gave away prizes to winners in different fields. In his motivational speech, he praised the efforts of our college staff and students for uplifting name of the college. 

 Then, the students presented mesmerizing cultural events such as dances, plays, magic show and group dances. The dances on patriotism and a drama on "Unity in diversity' won admiration of all.  

At the end Mr. Mohan Rathod, the vice- principal thanked the chief-guest, dignitaries, and parents for giving their valuable time to attend the function; he also thanked students for organizing the function successfully. Everyone enjoyed the annual day celebration of our college.Br

    Our college celebrated Independence Day on 15th of August with great enthusiasm and patriotism.  At 7:30 am, the event began with the flag hoisting ceremony led by our principal, followed by the national anthem ‘Jan Gan Man’. 

    After the national anthem guard of honour was given to the flag. Then eye catching parades were presented by NCC units. Our chief guest, a freedom fighter, Mr. Ganpatrao Patil, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibilities of today’s youth.  

    After The Principal’s address, Students presented various cultural programs, including patriotic songs, dances, and a drama on India’s freedom struggle. Prizes were distributed to students for their achievements in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. 

The celebration was compered by Miss. Deepali Madam and ended with vote of thanks which was expressed by the cultural secretary, Miss. Radha. It was a memorable day filled with pride and joy.

      Annual Prize Distribution Function was organized in our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jr. College on 23rd November 2024. The function started at 10:00 am sharp in the college auditorium which was decorated with the flowers.
    Lighting the lamp, Dr. Anil Patel, the chief guest of the function inaugurated the programme. Our Principal, Mrs. Rane Madam welcomed him by presenting Indian constitution.
     The principal Madam presented the annual report of our college The students presented the cultural programme. All the People enjoyed the Cultural events with a loud clapping,
      Then the successful students were felicitated with the certificates and cash prizes. Rajan Pande, student of 12th was felicitated for saving the life of a child from drowning in the river, last month. Miss. Mitali was felicitated for winning the first prize in state level chess competition. Sachin Rathod was felicitated for scoring the highest marks in the HSC examination in Maharashtra. Many other students were felicitated for lifting the name of our college. All the awardees were very happy for their felicitation. At last the chief guest in his motivational speech congratulated all winners and merit holders.
         The celebration was compered by Miss. Sonali Madam. In the end, the general secretary of the College presented vote of thanks. The function ended with National Anthem.

The NSS unit of our college organized a Blood Donation Camp on 20th November 2024 in collaboration with the Government Blood Bank.  The main aim of the camp was to spread awareness about blood donation and encourage students and staff to donate blood.  

     The camp was inaugurated by our principal Dr. P. K. Pawar sir by lighting traditional lamp which was arranged in the Library Hall. The Blood Donation Camp got tremendous response. Over 150 donors, including students, staff, and local residents  donated their blood.

      The blood donors were given coffee and biscuits after the blood donation. They were also felicitated with the certificate. The camp was ended by the vote of thanks expressed by head of the NSS unit, Madhuri Desai Madam.

   On 15th October 2024, to honor Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birthday, our college organized a Book Reading Competition in the auditorium to promote a love for reading among students.  

  Fifty students participated, reading excerpts from Dr. Kalam's books. The competition was inaugurated by our principal, Dr. Mane, with a lamp-lighting ceremony. Each participant demonstrated impressive reading skills, including pronunciation, voice clarity, and rhythm.  

  The panel of judges, Mr. Ghode Sir, Mrs. Deshmukh Madam, and Mr. Pande Sir, evaluated the participants. Adarsh Kadu won first prize (₹5000), Sachin Rohankar secured second (₹3000), and Rani Mahure achieved third (₹2000).  

  In his concluding speech, the principal congratulated the winners and encouraged everyone to follow Dr. Kalam’s inspiring ideals. The event was a great success. The general secretary of the College presented vote of thanks in the end.

 The Yavatmal Book Fair, a three-day event, was held at Nagar Bhavan from 18th to 20th November 2024. Organized by the Government of Maharashtra, the fair welcomed visitors from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. free of charge.  

   Several famous publishers participated in the Book fair. A wide range of books in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, and Sanskrit were available in the book fair. The fair was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Ashiya, the Collector of Yavatmal, who visited all the book stalls and thanked the publishers to make it successful.

  A highlight of the event was "Lekhak Aaplya Betila" ((लेखक आपल्या भेटीला/Author Meet) on the final day, More than 15 famous Marathi authors shared their thoughts with the people. The exhibition attracted students, teachers, parents, and book enthusiasts, making it a grand success and a treat for literary lovers.

The 18th of October to the 26th of October, our Gadgebaba Junior College hosted “Wings 2023”, a Music and Dance festival in which 15 colleges participated from our district.

     Lighting the lamp, Mr. Balasaheb Yende, the chief guest inaugurated the programme. Our Principal, Mrs. Rahane Madam welcomed him by presenting Indian constitution.

    Numerous events were held during this festival in which a wide range of Indian classical music, western music and different types of dances were performed by the students. Many famous dancers and musicians attended the festival everyday. 

On last day of the festival, Our principal Madam addressed us and praised for organising the festival successfully. Finally the chief guest felicitated all the students who participated in the festival. The general secretary of the College presented vote of thanks In the end.

On the Nehru Stadium, S. P. College and G.M. College played a 20-over inter-college cricket match on Monday.  From the beginning the match was very exciting. Our Principal, Mr. Rathod Sir as a chief guest made a toss. 

      After winning the toss, our S. P. College decided to bat first. They gave the G. M. College a goal of 130 runs in 20 overs. G. M. College also played well. The match came on the exciting mode because to win, G. M. College needed ten runs in the final two balls. 

   Rajan, their best batsman, hit a six and a four on the last two balls and won the match. Finally. Rajan was declared as a man of the match. All the spectators enjoyed the match.

Our college’s cultural unit organized a seminar on "How to Study" on 24th November 2024 in the college auditorium. The main aim of the seminar was to develop effective study techniques in the students and improve their academic performance.

The session was conducted by Dr. Rajan Patil, an expert in student counseling and learning strategies. The speaker explained in detail about time management, setting realistic goals, concentration techniques, and overcoming exam stress. Students were encouraged to ask questions and share their challenges, which made the session interactive and engaging.

Over 200 students attended the seminar and found it highly beneficial. Many students decided to apply his strategies in their daily routines.

The program ended with a vote of thanks, appreciating the speaker and participants for making the event successful.
